For all that you've done to make this place more like a home...

Dear Platta & All the 2nd Floor Nurses, Aides and Edna,

Mom was so happy with the blankets that you made for her as she was always cold.  We are keeping the angels you gave her to remind us not only of her but also of your kindness to her.  We would like to see these great blankets used for any other resident here who needs more than your usual blankets to keep them warm.  I'm sure she wasn't the only one cold all the time.

We want to thank any and all of you who not only took care of her needs but went out of your way to make her feel like this was her home.  Thank you to everyone who lent her a movie or gave her special treatment.  There are many of you and believe us, you have made this whole ordeal more bearable.

Edna, you not only made Mom feel special but you gained a gambling buddy in Bernie.  I'm sure he'll be looking to go to the boat again when he comes into town.  Platta, you are truly a gift to the elderly.  I hope you receive as much pleasure working with them as you give.  

A nursing home may not be the ideal place to live out the rest of your life but you are all very special to make it a second best alternative.  We all thank you for all that you've done to make this place more like a home.
