Dear Mr. De Leon and the staff,

My family and I would like to thank you very much for the fruit basket we received after my mother’s death. It was an unexpected treat, both visual and edible, when we returned from the burial services in Indiana. We appreciate your thoughtfulness. We also appreciate the care and the treatment that mother received while living at the Abington for over four years. Since she could not communicate well and could not do much for herself, she must have been a difficult patient at times. However, we cannot imagine any place that would have treated her with more dignity and caring, and we are so glad we chose the Abington.  Whenever we had a problem the staff members were concerned and helpful even though sometimes the problems could not be solved quickly. From administration to nursing and aids to therapy to social services to activities to environmental to kitchen, etc.

We found nothing but friendly caring professionals who tried hard to help both mother and us, as frequent guests at parties and meals we enjoyed visiting mother there, and I must say, we will probably miss the Sunday bingo. In all we found the Abington of Glenview to be a wonderful substitute for our home for mother.
